A total of 47 Bellevue University student-athletes earned North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Spring Scholar-Athlete honors in an announcement made today by the conference office.

Sophomore third baseman/pitcher Erin Sharpe was named a first-team All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

The 50 wins this season were the second-most in school history. The 2000 team finished with a 56-12 record. Michala Cimino completed her 8th season leading the Bruin softball program. She has amassed an overall record of 311-130-1 (705). She is the winningest coach in school history in terms of winning percentage and second in total victories.
Erin Sharpe and Maddie Siedlik both drove in runs in the sixth inning and Kelli Fisher recorded the victory in the circle.
The Bellevue University softball team will be heading to Oklahoma City on May 15-17 to compete in the NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Round - Oklahoma City Bracket. The Bruins will open play on May 15 at noon against Simpson (Calif.) University at Ann Lacy Stadium.
