Bruins add Hofacket to 2025 Track/XC Class
Wren Hofacket of Organ Mountain High School in Las Cruces, N.M., is the latest commitment to the Bellevue University cross country/track program's class of 2025. Hofacket recently completed her senior year with two medals at the New Mexico State High School 5A Track and Field Championships. She was fifth in the 800 meters with a personal best of 2:22.21 and also anchored her 4 x 800 meter relay squad to a sixth-place finish.
At the 2024 New Mexico State 5A Cross Country meet, Hofacket was Organ Mountain's second finisher in 33rd place overall, helping her team to a seventh-place finish. She brings a 20:12.9 5K cross country personal best to Bellevue.
"Wren is going to come in and be a big contributor right away," commented Head Coach Craig Christians. "She possesses some great natural speed and the endurance to go with it, on top of a great attitude. We're excited about her potential."
Hofacket joins Grace Steinmetz of Heartland Christian in Council Bluffs and transfers Emily and Cloey Usher from North Iowa Area Community College in the Bruin women's class of 2025.
