Two-time All-American Madison Nelson turned in another impressive outing at Saturday’s Greeno/Dirksen Invitational hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan and the University of Nebraska. She cracked the individual awards podium for the first time in three tries at this meet with an 18:55.6 clocking over the five-kilometer course. The meet was run over the gently rolling hills of Mahoney Golf Course in Lincoln, which had very warm and humid conditions impacting times. Her 36th place finish in the field of 230 runners followed the finishes of mostly NCAA Division I athletes and four women from NAIA No. 1 ranked University of Saint Mary (Kan.).
