Bio
Trish Siedlik enters her 21st season at the helm of the Bellevue University volleyball program in 2026 and has taken the Bruins to the NAIA National Championship in 17 of the past 19 seasons. She has led Bellevue to 17 of the program’s 18 all-time NAIA National Championship appearances, including a national runner-up finish in 2024 and quarterfinal runs in 2021 and 2025. She was also promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Events and Banquets, effective July 1, 2020.
Siedlik owns a 569-205 (.735) record in 20 seasons at BU and a 693-226 (.754) career mark in 24 seasons as a collegiate head coach. Her .754 career-winning percentage ranks sixth among active coaches in the NAIA, and her 693 wins rank fourth among active NAIA coaches.
In 2025, Siedlik guided the Bruins through their first season in the Frontier Conference, finishing with a 29-5 overall record and a 20-2 league mark. Bellevue placed second in the Frontier regular-season standings and was runner-up at the Frontier Conference Tournament. BU advanced to the NAIA National Championship quarterfinals for the fourth time in program history in what marked the Bruins’ 18th national tournament appearance. The 2025 squad produced three NAIA All-Americans in Eve Fountain, Kealy Kiviniemi, and Savanna Berger.
The Bruins, under Siedlik’s guidance, wrapped up the 2024 season as the NAIA National Runner-Up with an overall record of 32-5. Bellevue captured the North Star Athletic Association regular-season and postseason tournament titles while advancing to the NAIA National Tournament for the 17th time in school history. Their second-place finish at Nationals was the best showing in school history, as was their No. 2 final national ranking. For her efforts, Siedlik was named both the NAIA and AVCA National Coach of the Year.
She led the 2023 BU squad to its eighth-straight appearance in the NAIA National Tournament, finishing with a 26-10 overall record and an 8-4 conference ledger. The Bruins finished with a No. 18 final national ranking and placed second in the NSAA regular season, as well as runner-up in the NSAA Tournament.
Siedlik guided the 2022 Bruins to the NAIA National Tournament, finishing with a 28-8 overall record and a 13-1 NSAA mark. Bellevue finished with a No. 14 final national ranking and shared the NSAA regular-season crown with Viterbo.
The 2021 Bruins advanced to the NAIA National Tournament quarterfinals for the first time since the 2000 season, finishing with a 26-8 overall record and a No. 9 final national ranking. Siedlik led the Bruins to their 14th appearance in the NAIA National Tournament in 2021 and to a second-place finish in the North Star Athletic Association regular season and postseason tournament.
During the 2020 season, Siedlik led the Bruins to their first-ever NSAA regular-season title, finishing with a 12-2 league record and a 17-7 overall mark. For her efforts, she earned NSAA Coach of the Year honors. BU finished the season ranked No. 18 in the nation.
Siedlik guided the 2019 BU volleyball team to a 28-10 overall record and a No. 19 final national ranking. In 2017, she led the Bruins to a 30-13 record, marking the 10th time in her career she has guided her squad to 30 or more wins in a season.
She led the 2016 Bruins to the NAIA National Tournament, finishing with a 32-12 overall record and a No. 23 final national ranking. The 32 wins were the fourth-highest total in school history.
The 2013 season marked the seventh-straight year Siedlik guided the Bruins to the NAIA National Tournament, claiming both the MCAC regular-season and tournament titles. She earned MCAC Coach of the Year accolades for the ninth time in her career and for the seventh time in 10 seasons after leading BU to an overall record of 34-9 and a No. 25 final national ranking.
She led the Bruins to a school-record 36 wins in 2012, finishing the season with an overall record of 36-11 and a No. 17 final national ranking.
Siedlik was also the head coach for the Great Plains Tornados in their inaugural season in 2013. The semi-professional league, which USA Volleyball sanctioned, was comprised of former collegiate athletes.
Prior to BU, Siedlik was the head coach at the College of Saint Mary in Omaha from 2002-05. During her four years, the Flames compiled a 124-21 record, including a conference mark of 60-3, winning four MCAC regular-season and tournament titles, two Region IV titles, and making three NAIA National Tournament appearances, including an Elite Eight finish in 2004.
In her 13 seasons of coaching in the MCAC, Siedlik guided her teams to 10 regular-season league titles and 11 conference tournament championships. She collected six regular-season and seven tournament titles at Bellevue. She led her squads to the MCAC Tournament title match in 12 of 13 seasons as a head coach and compiled an 11-1 record in the MCAC championship match.
She has coached 45 NAIA All-Americans, 99 first-team all-conference players, 15 conference Players of the Year, 62 all-region athletes, and 85 NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Siedlik played collegiate volleyball at CSM from 1995-98 and was named the MCAC Player of the Year in 1997 while also earning honorable mention All-American honors. She graduated with a computer graphics degree in 1999.
She is married to Michael Siedlik Jr., who is employed with the Omaha Fire Department. They have two sons, Brandon and Luke, and one daughter, Mandy.
In addition to her coaching duties, Siedlik also serves as an Assistant Athletic Director for the Bruin athletic programs.
