Bruins set for 2024 NAIA Volleyball National Championship Final Site

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The 2024 NAIA Volleyball National Championship Final Site is set to begin Dec. 4 at the Tyson Events Center, with 24 teams competing in eight pools of three. The top team in each pool will advance to a single-elimination bracket, culminating in the national championship match on Dec. 10.

No. 5 Bellevue University (29-3) is slotted into Pool E alongside No. 12 University of Providence (Mont.) and No. 20 Marian University (Ind.). The Bruins punched their ticket to Sioux City with a 3-1 victory over Texas Wesleyan University in Saturday's Opening Round, played at Bellevue West High School.

Pool play will take place over three days, beginning Wednesday, Dec. 4. The quarterfinals are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 7, with the semifinals on Monday, Dec. 9, and the national championship match set for Tuesday, Dec. 10.

Bellevue opens its tournament run against Marian (24-8) at 10 a.m. on Dec. 4. The Bruins will face Providence (26-6) at 10 a.m. on Dec. 6. Bellevue has not faced either opponent this season.

Marian advanced to the final site with a four-set win over Columbia International. Providence, champions of the Frontier Athletic Conference, secured its spot by sweeping Cumberlands (Ky.).

This marks Bellevue's 17th overall appearance in the NAIA National Tournament and its 14th trip to the final site. The Bruins previously reached the final site in 2000, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.

With Saturday's victory over Texas Wesleyan, Bellevue improved its all-time record in National Tournament play to 24-29 (.453), including an 11-3 mark in NAIA Opening Round matches.
