    Coree Lipovsky and Paige Holdsworth combined for 19 kills and both hit over .500 to lead the 15th-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-20, 25-13, 25-21) sweep at Valley City State University in North Star Athletic Association action Saturday at Graichen Gymnasium.

    For the seventh time this season, sophomore Olivia Galas has been named the North Star Athletic Association's Setter of the Week for her performances in the Bruins' three matches last week. It marked the 13th time in her career she has won the weekly award.

    In an announcement today by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Olivia Galas has been named the NAIA National Setter of the Week for her performances in the Bruins' three wins last week, including a four-game upset over No. 4-ranked Viterbo University last Friday night.

  • Athen, Galas net NSAA weekly honors

    Sophomores Sierra Athen and Olivia Galas were both honored today with weekly North Star Athletic Association volleyball honors in an announcement made today by the league office. Athen was named the NSAA Attacker of the Week, while Galas picked up her third-consecutive NSAA Setter of the Week nod.

The Bruins swept Southwestern Assemblies of God University 3-0 (25-22, 26-24, 25-22) in the opener, before outlasting Carroll College 3-2 (27-25, 25-21, 12-25, 18-25, 15-12) in the finale.

College Friday afternoon at the Massimino Court in the Countess de Hoernle Student Life Center. BU defeated PCC 25-10, 25-11, 25-13 in the opener, while downing GC, 25-14, 25-14, 25-19 in the nightcap.

    The No. 22-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team opened the 2019 season with a pair of victories Thursday at the Keiser University Tournament. BU earned a 3-2 (21-25, 25-17, 25-20, 22-25, 15-7) victory over host Keiser University in the opener. The Bruins swept St. Thomas (Fla.) University, 3-0 (25-23, 25-13, 25-21) in the nightcap.
