Holz signs with Bellevue volleyball program for 2014
The Bellevue volleyball program has announced the signing of 5-7 libero Taylor Holz (Omaha, Neb./Skutt Catholic HS) to a letter of intent.
BELLEVUE, Neb. -- The Bellevue University volleyball program has announced today the signing of 5-7 libero Taylor Holz (Omaha, Neb./Skutt Catholic HS) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning in the fall of 2014.
The daughter of Terry and Julie, Holz was coached by Renee Saunders at Skutt Catholic High School where she was a three-year letterwinner and senior team captain.
"Taylor has great ball control with nice hands on the second ball and the competitiveness that fits the job as a libero," said head coach Trish Siedlik. "We are anxious to get her here and coming from a winning program at Skutt Catholic under head coach Renee Saunders, it should be an easy transition."
Holz played club volleyball for Premier under head coach Rick Welch and intends to major in healthcare management at Bellevue.
Holz joins earlier signees Gracie Myers (Treynor, Iowa/Treynor HS), Hope Lambrecht (Wood River, Neb./Wood River HS) and Hannah Taylor (Hallam, Neb./Lincoln Christian HS) in the 2014 recruiting class.
The 2013 Bruins finished the season with a 34-9 overall record and advanced to the NAIA National Tournament for the seventh-straight season.
