Broady named second team All-American
Broady adds to her long list of career accolades with All-American honor...
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Senior setter Jordan Broady added to her long list of career accolades by being named to the Tachikara NAIA All-American second team in an announcement made today in conjuction with the NAIA Volleyball National Championship.
Broady also earned the same honor from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).
A three-time all-West Central Region first team honoree, Broady was named the 2012 MCAC Player of the Year, while also earning first team all-MCAC honors for the fourth time in her career.
Broady recorded a team-high 17 double-doubles on the season, including five triple-doubles.
She ranked second nationally with 1,730 assists which sits in fourth on the Bruins' all-time single-season records' chart. Broady finished her BU career ranked second in school history in career assists (6,032), eighth in service aces (145), and 11th in digs (1,271) and block assists (228).
The Bruins finished the season with a school-record 36 wins, recording a 36-11 overall mark and a perfect 13-0 record in the MCAC. Bellevue won the MCAC regular season and tournament titles, advancing to the NAIA Volleyball National Championship for the sixth-straight season.
