Bellevue West's Morgia signs with BU

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University head women's soccer coach Tom White announced the signee of Madelyn Morgia (Bellevue, Neb.) to a letter of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at BU beginning in the fall.

Morgia is the daughter of Kimberly Weir and Patrick Bonnett and played her high school career at Bellevue West under the guidance of former Bruin Alan Carr.

During her high school career Maddy captained the team leading them to two state appearances while contributing to 16 goals and 30 assists.

Coach White on Morgia:

"Maddy will be an exciting addition to the squad who will make an immediate impact. She will give us a lot of competition within our midfield unit. She has a great balance to her game where she can create chances and score goals as well as that bite and tenacity to break up plays defensively".

Morgia joins earlier signees Larisa Djurkovic (RW, Podgorica, Montenegro), Mayerli Huaraca (F, Quito, Ecuador), and Dayana Mejia (D, Azogues, Ecuador) in the Bruins' 2026 signing class.

The Bruins closed out the season with a 12-3-2 overall mark, going 2-0-0 against CAC foes during the regular season, and reached the Continental Athletic Conference Championship match for the fifth-straight season.
