Tex collects second CAC Player of the Week Award

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- For the second time this season, Bellevue University sophomore Baylee Tex (Papillion, Neb.) has earned Continental Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors, as announced by the CAC office on Monday morning.

Tex scored twice and added an assist in the regular season finale for the Bruins on Wednesday evening as BU picked up a 7-0 win over Midland University at the Renner Dennis Outdoor Athletic Complex.

The victory saw the Bruins improve to 11-2-2 on the year and further solidify their position for a first round bye in the upcoming CAC Tournament to be hosted by Georgia Gwinnett College, Friday-Tuesday, Nov. 7-11.

On the season, Tex now ranks second on the team and in the CAC with nine goals while her 19 points has her tied for third with Bruins occupying each of the top five spots on the leaderboard.
