Perez snags CAC Offensive Player of the Week award
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Bellevue University senior Aileen Perez (Thornton, Colo.) has been named the Continental Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the CAC office on Tuesday morning.
Perez scored the eventual game-winner in the 78th minute as the Bruins rallied from a 2-0 second half deficit to post a 4-2 victory at Dakota Wesleyan.
Perez pounced on a free ball in the box that came off a corner. With the ball at her foot, she delivered a high blast into the back of the net to break a 2-2 tie. The goal was her first as a Bruin and helped BU improve to 2-0-0 on the season.
The Bruins entertain Concordia University on Wednesday evening in their 2025 home-opener. Kick-off is set for 5:30 p.m. in their first-ever regular season game from the Renner Dennis Outdoor Athletic Complex.
