BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Five different players found the back of the net at the Bellevue University women's soccer team defeated visiting Presentation College 5-0 on Saturday afternoon in North Star Athletic Association action at Faiman Field.
Following the game, Bellevue's seven seniors – Kylie Taylor, Margie Garcia, Kaleigh Young, Madison Stumpf, Kristin Hanson, Madison Lambert, and Laurence Rodier – were recognized for their contributions to the program as part of the annual Senior Day ceremonies.
The game, originally slated for Bellevue Soccer Club, was moved to Bellevue West High School as a result of concerns over precipitation and field conditions.
With the win Bellevue improved to 10-4-0 (2-1-0 NSAA) on the season while Presentation fell to 4-12-0 (1-2-0 NSAA) with the loss.
Kristin Hanson opened the scoring in the game's third minute with a 25-yard strike on a free kick.
Whitney Pratt added a third Bruin goal in the 22nd minute when she took possession at the top of the box after collecting a rebound and fired a shot into the back of the net.
BU out-shot Presentation 34-3 (15-0 on goal) and took all four corner kicks in the game. Laurence Rodier earned the win, and shutout, in net without having to make a save to improve to 9-3-0 on the year.
Bellevue wraps up regular-season play on Saturday, Oct. 28 with a 10 a.m. game at Waldorf University.
