Women’s Soccer: Schedule Change
Women’s Soccer will host William Penn at 6:00 p.m. at Omaha South HS on Sat.
BELLEVUE, Neb. - Tomorrow's Bellevue University women's soccer contest against William Penn University, previously scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at Tranquility Park has been changed and will now take place at 6:00 p.m. at Omaha South High School.
Bellevue is currently unbeaten and untied on the season with a 3-0-0 record. Most recently they defeated Doane College by a 4-0 score on Wednesday night.
Offensively BU is led by junior Betsy Fischenich (Omaha, Neb.) who is tops on the team in both goals and assists, with three of each. Senior Mercy Darkoah (Sheffield, England) and sophomore Lauren Clark (Portsmouth, England) each have two goals apiece on the season and rank second and third in points this season, respectively.
Defensively the team has been anchored by the strong play of their backs, especially senior Kenia Hernandez (Nayarit, Mexico) and junior Kate Petersen (Springfield, Neb.), as well as emerging freshman keeper Bailey Petzoldt (Hastings, Neb.).
