BU Women’s Golf adds Florida native Shreya Suresh to 2025-26 Class
BELLEVUE, Neb. — Bellevue University head women's golf coach Craig Marsh announced the addition of Shreya Suresh (Winter Garden, Fla.) as the latest signee in the Bruins' 2025-26 recruiting class. Suresh will begin her academic and athletic career at BU in the fall of 2025.
Suresh, the daughter of Suresh Anandakrishnan and Sugarnya Suresh, prepped at Horizon High School in Winter Garden, Fla., where she was coached by John Brown.
A standout on her high school team, Suresh played as the No. 1 varsity golfer for three seasons. She finished in the top 20 at the Florida State Championships and placed seventh out of 64 competitors at the MetroWest Conference Championships.
She holds a handicap of 1 and carries an average score of 77.
Academically, Suresh earned Principal's Roll honors in 9th grade for posting straight A's, is an Adobe Certified Professional, and served as Treasurer of the Indian Student Association Club during high school. She plans to major in Cybersecurity at Bellevue.
Her father previously competed at the state, college, and league levels in cricket in India.
Suresh joins previously announced 2025-26 signees Patrīcija Anna Jakovļeva (Riga, Latvia), Nellie Forsén (Linköping, Sweden), Cristina Garcia (Caracas, Venezuela), and Isabella Gómez (Cajicá, Colombia) in a recruiting class that features both international depth and domestic talent.
"We're thrilled to welcome Shreya Suresh to the Bellevue University women's golf team," said Marsh. "Shreya brings impressive competitive experience and a proven dedication to practice and a desire to succeed — qualities that will elevate both her game and our team. Her commitment to excellence makes her a perfect fit for our program's culture and goals."
The Bruins will begin the 2025-26 season on Sept. 8-9 in the Swan Memorial, being played at Broadlands Golf Course in Broomfield, Colo.
