Bruins dominate leaderboard heading into final round at NSAA Championships
EAGLE, Neb. -- Led by the steady play of Maria Pinedo and Tilde-Li Andersson, the Bellevue University women's golf team holds a 35-stroke lead after three rounds of the North Star Athletic Association Championships. The final two rounds are being played at the 5,885-yard, par-71 Woodland Hills Golf Course, while the first two rounds were contested in the fall at Crossroads Golf Course in Carrington, N.D.
All five Bruins are currently positioned inside the top 10 individually. Bellevue sits at 34-over par as a team after three rounds, following a 318 team score during Monday's third round. Dickinson State University is second at 79 over par.
Pinedo leads the 29-player field at 1-under par for the tournament. She recorded a 4-over-75 on Monday, playing her final 15 holes at even par with 11 pars, two birdies, and two bogeys.
Andersson posted the Bruins' second-best score of the day with a 5-over 76. She made 12 pars and one birdie in her round and is tied for sixth at 16-over par for the tournament.
Aaricia Noel-Traissac is tied for second individually at 10-over par after carding an 11-over 82 in the third round, which included eight pars and a birdie.
Chloe Blandinieres is also tied for sixth at 16-over par after shooting a 14-over 85 on Monday, highlighted by six pars and one birdie.
Ilysia Ibnu recorded an 18-over 89 in the third round, placing her in a tie for 10th at 22-over par.
The tournament concludes with Tuesday's final round, which will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
