Andersson leads BU to fourth place showing at Hardrocker Invitational
Freshman Tilde-Li Andersson posted one of the best rounds of the tournament as the Bellevue University women's golf team finished in fourth place at the 10-team Hardrocker Invitational Tuesday afternoon. The two-day, 36-hole tournament was played at the 5,858-yard, par-72 Golf Club at Red Rock.
RAPID CITY, S.D. -- Freshman Tilde-Li Andersson posted one of the best rounds of the tournament as the Bellevue University women's golf team finished in fourth place at the 10-team Hardrocker Invitational Tuesday afternoon. The two-day, 36-hole tournament was played at the 5,858-yard, par-72 Golf Club at Red Rock.
The Bruins recorded a team score of 651 (331-320), finishing at 79-over par. BU was the top NAIA team in the field. NCAA Division II foe Montana State-Billings won the team title at 52-over par, followed by Augustana (+69) and South Dakota School of Mines (+75).
Andersson shot a five-over par 77 on Tuesday, finishing the tournament at 15-over par and in a tie for sixth place in the 59-player field. She produced a consistent round with two birdies, nine pars, and seven bogeys.
Maria Pinedo placed 14th at 21-over par after registering a 10-over 82 in the second round. Three birdies and four pars sparked her day.
Ilysia Ibnu improved on her opening round score by nine strokes, registering a 7-over 79 as she moved up 10 spots into a tie for 15th place. Ibnu had one birdie and 10 pars in the second round.
Chloe Blandinieres matched her opening round score of 10-over 82. Her 20-over total was good for 13th place. Her round was sparked by recording birdies on three out of four holes (No. 13, 14, and 16).
Aaricia Noel-Traissac placed 34th after posting a 15-over total of 87 to go with Monday's 18-over 90. Two birdies and three pars highlighted her second round.
Megan Harty, who was golfing as an individual, finished the tournament in a tie for 32nd place at 32-over par with rounds of 84 and 92. She had four pars on the day.
Orraya Tipasathien of MSU-Billings claimed the individual title at 11-over par with rounds of 78 and 77.
The Bruins will travel to Carrington, N.D., on Sept. 22-23 to compete in the fall portion of the NSAA Championships. The two-day event will take place at the Crossroads Golf Club.
