BU tied for 4th at TPC Deere Run
Megan Harty and Allison Temple were BU’s top two individuals as the Bruins are tied for fourth after the first round of the TPC Deere Run Invitational.
SILVIS, Ill. -- The Bellevue University women's golf team combined to shoot 336 and is tied for fourth place in the 14-team field after the first round of play at the TPC Deere Run Invitational.
Megan Harty and Allison Temple navigated the 5,840-yard, Par 72 course to shoot 10-over apiece and find themselves amidst a four-way tie for 18th place in the individual standings.
Tylah Saifoloi is just three strokes back of her teammates at 13-over, Ilysia Ibnu checked in at 15-over, and Maria Pinedo is 16-over after one round. Saifoloi is tied for 28th, Ibnu is tied for 36th overall, and Pinedov is in a tie for 40th.
Indiana Wesleyan's Caroline Gibson leads the field after carding a 3-under 69, six strokes ahead of William Penn's Sam Maceli.
Atop the team standings is Indiana Wesleyan at 14-over following a first-round 302. Marian is second with a score of 318 (+30) and host William Penn is third at +35 (323). Bellevue and Dubuque round out the top five, tied with scores of 336 (+48).
Play continues tomorrow morning with the second, and final, round of the TPC Deere Run Invitational.
