Women's Golf favored in NSAA Preseason Poll
The Bellevue University women’s golf team has been picked to finish first in the North Star Athletic Association Preseason Women’s Golf Coaches’ Poll.
MADISON, S.D. -- The Bellevue University women's golf team has been picked to finish first in the North Star Athletic Association Preseason Women's Golf Coaches' Poll, as announced by the conference office today.
Bellevue, winners of two of the last three NSAA championships, picked up five first place votes and a total of 35 points in the preseason poll.
Viterbo collected the other first place vote and came second with 31 points. Waldorf was chosen third (31 points), followed by Dickinson State (17), Valley City State (16), and Dakota State (6) to round out the poll.
The Bruins will host the North Star Athletic Association Women's Golf Tournament on Apr. 22-23 at Platteview Golf Club in Bellevue, Neb.
The Winner of the NSAA Women's Golf Tournament will receive and automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament. The NAIA Women's Golf National Tournament is slated to take place at Lincoln Park Golf Course in Oklahoma City, Okla. from May 14-17, 2019.
Bellevue opens the 2018-19 season on Saturday, Sept. 1 at the Morningside Invitational at Whispering Creek Golf Course in Sioux City, Iowa.
