Bruins in third after 1st round at NSAA Fall Championship
The Bellevue University women's golf team is in third place after the opening round of the North Star Athletic Association Championships being hosted by Dickinson State University at the 6,000-yard, par-72 Bully Pulpit Golf Course.
MEDORA, N.D. -- The Bellevue University women's golf team is in third place after the opening round of the North Star Athletic Association Championships being hosted by Dickinson State University at the 6,000-yard, par-72 Bully Pulpit Golf Course.
The Bruins shot an 18-hole team total of 350 and trail first-place University of Jamestown by 13 strokes. Viterbo University is two strokes out of first place with a first-round team score of 339.
Faustina Peve is currently in fourth place after shooting a 12-over 84 on Monday. Kim Moore is tied for seventh with a 15-over 87. Morgan Hazzard fired a 17-over 89 and is tied for 10th place. Madison Brooks carded an 18-over 90 and is tied for 12th. Allison Temple shot a 94 in the opening round and is currently in 18th place.
Jamestown's Annie Nelson leads the tournament field after shooting a 1-under 71 on Monday.
Tomorrow's second round will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
