BU ties for 2nd at South Central Kansas Invite
WINFIELD, Kan. -- Playing on the rain-drenched Quail Ridge Golf Course, the Bellevue University women's golf team finished in a tie for second at the South Central Kansas Spring Invitational Tuesday afternoon.
The event, hosted by Southwestern (Kan.) College, was originally scheduled for 36 holes, but was shortened to 18 holes after extensive rainfall in the area.
The Bruins were led by the fourth-place finish of Ana Laura Gomez, who shot an 83. Other Bellevue finishers included: Christina VonRiesen (86), Taylor Byers (93), and Dawn Florance (97).
Southwestern's Hannah Mason was the tournament medalist, finishing with a 78 on the day.
