Bruins land on WBCA Honor Roll
The Bellevue University women’s basketball team was one of over 200 programs highlighted by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) on its annual Academic Honor Roll.
ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Bellevue University women's basketball team was one of over 200 programs highlighted by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) on its annual Academic Honor Roll.
In total, 34 NAIA women's basketball programs were recognized by the WBCA, with Bellevue posting the 27th-highest GPA among all NAIA programs.
Earlier this summer, a program-record 11 women's basketball players from BU were recognized as NSAA Scholar-Athletes.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls are separated by division with all teams qualifying for the top 25 rankings with a minimum 3.0 GPA also being recognized for their accomplishment.
During the 2021-22 season, Bellevue reached the conference championship game for the second-straight season and third time overall in the program's six-year history.
