In only its third year of existence, the Bellevue University women's basketball team captured a share of North Star Athletic Association regular-season title with an 83-45 victory over Dakota State University Saturday afternoon in the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.

Laura Jurek led the Bruins with 11 points, six rebounds, and two assists.

Jamie Winkler led the Bruins with 19 points, five rebounds, and three assists.

In a battle of the top two teams in the league, Mayville State had four players score in double figures as the Comets handed BU a 73-68 loss in North Star Athletic Association women's basketball action Saturday afternoon in the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.
