Bruin softball adds Ramirez as eighth signee in 2025-26 class
Bellevue University head softball coach Michala Cimino announced today the eighth signee in the 2025-26 recruiting class with the addition of pitcher Daniela Ramirez (Omaha, Neb./Millard North HS). Ramirez will continue her academic and athletic careers at BU beginning in the fall of 2025.
Ramirez, the daughter of Carlos and Evelyn Ramirez, prepped at Millard North High School under head coach Travis Unzicker. She was a member of the Nebraska Class A state runner-up squad.
She played club softball for coaches Paul Taylor and Emily Jonas at Omaha Quakes, where Ramirez helped her team win the national championship in the 2024 USA Softball Gold Division.
Butcher joins fellow Jordyn Butcher (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan), Marguerite Brown (Chatham, Ontario), along with Carly Bertolini (Papillion, Neb./Papillion-La Vista HS), Alivia Courter (Yutan, Neb./Millard West HS), Macie Wyman (Omaha, Neb./Millard West HS), Bayla Bodnar (Ralston, Neb./Ralston HS), and Lindsey Dressman (Marysville, Kan./Marysville HS) in the Bruins' 2025-26 recruiting class.
The Bruins ended the 2025 season with a 29-21 overall record, finishing third in the North Star Athletic Association regular-season standings.
