Softball announces schedule changes, to play at PC Dome
Bellevue will face York on Sunday and play a double-header with Doane on Monday in Aberdeen, S.D. at Presentation College’s PC Dome.
BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University softball coach Michala Cimino announced today changes to this weekend's schedule.
The Bruins, originally slated to participate in the 2021 NAIA Invitational in Allen, Texas, have canceled that trip and will instead travel to Aberdeen, S.D. for three games.
Bellevue will play one game on Sunday, Feb. 21 and two more on Monday, Feb. 22. The Bruins face York College (0-0) from inside the Presentation Dome at 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning before taking on Doane University (1-1) on Monday in a twin bill, also beginning at 9:30 a.m.
BU kicked off their 2021 campaign last weekend with six games in three days at the OLLU Nationwide Classic. The Bruins racked up three wins at the event, including taking two of three from the host Saints.
Bellevue hit .257 with a .777 OPS as team and averaged 5.5 runs per game in San Antonio. The pitching staff did well to pitch to a 4.20 ERA after overcoming a host of errors that come from playing on dirt for the first time all season.
