Kimberley joins Bellevue softball program
Bellevue softball coach Michala Cimino has announced today the signing of Kristine Kimberley to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue.
BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University head softball coach Michala Cimino has announced today the signing of Kristine Kimberley (Urbandale, Iowa/Urbandale HS) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning in the fall of 2014.
The daughter of Sean and Jody, Kimberley was coached by Jon Parrott at Urbandale High School.
Kimberley was a second team all-conference selection in 2013 after batting .351 with 15 doubles and 43 strikeouts as a junior.
She was an honor roll student and a three-time all-conference selection. Kimberley intends to major in biology at Bellevue.
Kimberley joins Sarah Zeleny (Gretna, Neb./Gretna HS), Emily Gigax (Omaha, Neb./Ralston HS), Alexandra Tooley (Bellevue, Neb./Gross Catholic HS) and Michaela Miller (Wahoo, Neb./Wahoo HS) in the 2014 recruiting class.
The Bruins finished the 2013 season with a 42-11 overall record, winning the MCAC Tournament title, while advancing to the NAIA Softball National Championships Opening Round.
