News mentions
The Bellevue University men’s cross country team ran to a fourth-place finish at Friday’s NSAA cross country championships hosted by Dickinson State at the Heart River Golf Course.
Richard Marcoux had his first podium finish (won an individual award) as a Bruin at Saturday’s Mount Marty Invitational held at Yankton’s Fox Run golf course. By the start of the men’s race at 11:15, temperatures had climbed to near 70 making conditions warm for late October cross country. The sunny skies and a light breeze greeted the 145 men who toed the starting line for the eight-kilometer event. Marcoux ran his way into the Top Twenty award field, finishing in that final podium position (20th ) running 26:41.0, just fifteen seconds off his best set at last week’s Platte River Rumble.
Every Bruin runner set a seasonal or personal best at today's inaugural Platte River Rumble hosted by Creighton University and UNO. The meet was held under fall-like conditions with overcast skies and temperatures in the fifties over the undulating two-kilometer loop at Mahoney State Park.
Three men represented the Bruins at Saturday's Briar Cliff Cross Country Invite held at the Adams Nature Preserve in North Sioux City, S.D. Pleasant fall conditions and a light breeze were on tap for the 95 runners contesting the men's eight-kilometer (4.97 miles) race over the crushed rock trail of the preserve.
