A total of 71 Bellevue University student-athletes earned North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2020-21 academic year in an announcement made today by the conference office.

Bruin Distance Running welcomed Peyton Anthony (Papillion, Neb./Papillion-LaVista South HS) this morning as the third member of the 2021 signing class.

The Bellevue University men's and women's cross country teams both were named to the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic teams announced today.

The Bruin men's cross country team, under head coach Craig Christians, announced its second 2021 commitment today with the signing of Kaleb Wooten of Plattsmouth, Neb.

Desyebelew Debesh had an outstanding, day cutting 1:18 from his personal and season's best, running 26:06.9 and placing 40th in the 186-runner field. In the process, Debesh established a new Bruin school record for 8K shattering the existing mark of 27:02 held by Chris Casart.

Bruin Men put two In top 10 at Dean White Invite

The Bruin men’s cross country team placed two runners in the top ten at today’s 25th annual Dean White Invitational held on the Doane University campus. As he has done all season, Des Debesh led the Bruins with a ninth-place finish running 28:20.8 for the eight kilometer, three loop course run in warm and breezy conditions.

Edrei Murillo recorded a season-best time of 28:05.7 in the 8K race.

Bruin cross country runners Desyebelew Debesh and Edrei Murillo recorded season and career personal records at today's Morningside Invite held at the Adams Nature Preserve in North Sioux City, S.D.

Desyebelew Debesh placed fourth overall, finishing in 27:46.

The Bellevue University men’s cross country team recorded its highest team finish in program history with a runner-up showing at today’s Herb Blakely Invitational hosted by Dakota State.

The Bellevue University men's cross country team is picked to finish fourth in the North Star Athletic Association preseason coaches' poll released today by the conference office. It marks the highest-ever preseason ranking for the Bruins.
