Bellevue soccer announces two midfield signees to 2023 class
Midfielders Giovani Lima Soares (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and Rramon Isaku (Gipf-Oberfrick, Switzerland) have each signed letters of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning in the fall.
BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University men's soccer coach Mark Heath-Preston announced today the signing of two more student-athletes for the Bruins' 2023 recruiting class. Midfielders Giovani Lima Soares (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and Rramon Isaku (Gipf-Oberfrick, Switzerland) have each signed letters of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning in the fall.
Giovani Lima Soares comes to Bellevue from North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City, Iowa. With the Trojans, under the guidance of coach Graham Lynch, Lima Soares scored 10 goals and 10 assists while starting 41 games of the 46 in which he played.
Rramon Isaku joins the Bruins from 2021 NJCAA Division II National Champion Pima Community College in Pima County, Ariz. Isaku played under the direction of coach David Cosgrove for the Aztecs and was an instrumental figure in Pima claiming the National Title.
Lima Soares and Isaku join earlier signees Taariq Ganga (GK, Cape Town, South Africa), Ben Thompson (D, Hertford, England), and Andres Valencia (D, Bogota, Colombia) in the Bruins' 2023 recruiting class.
The Bruins won their third-straight CAC Tournament title and reached their third-straight NAIA National Tournament this fall, qualifying for the fourth time in five seasons and ninth time overall.
