BU rounds out recruiting class with a pair of signings
Jonathan Henkhaus (Olathe, Kan.) and David Hoti (Pordenone, Italy) have signed Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning in the fall.
BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University men's soccer coach Mark Heath-Preston announced today the signings of Jonathan Henkhaus (Olathe, Kan.) and David Hoti (Pordenone, Italy) to Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning in the fall.
Jonathan Henkhaus comes to Bellevue from Olathe Northwest High School and played his club soccer for KC Fusion where he received coaching from Nick Aguilar, Sean McAlister, and Andy Gruenenbaum. He led Olathe Northwest to a 6A Regional Championship and into the Kansas Presidents Cup Semifinals. With an 8-2-1 record, he helped his team win its Division 2 Group Championship during the 2020-21 season. At Bellevue, he intends to major in Business after making the honor roll numerous times in high school.
David Hoti is the 10th international to sign with the Bruins during the current recruiting cycle. He joins Bellevue from ASD Polisportiva Tamai under the guidance of Toffolo Alberto. He previously attended Liceo Scientifico Grigoletti Pordenone.
Today's signings join previously announced signees Matias Daniel (Santiago, Chile), Fletcher Hedge (Beccles, England), Dan Smith (Hadleigh, England), Aghiles Ould Lamara (Nancy, France), Jack Armstrong (Newcastle, England), Bradley Ironside (Kings Lynn, England), Jose Boggio (Lecheria, Venezuela), Romeo Paparesta (Bari, Italy), Alvaro Moros Sanz (Castellon de la Plana, Spain), Francisco Cardenas (Omaha, Neb.), Erik Sanchez (Omaha, Neb.), and Milton Navarro (Omaha, Neb.) in the Bruins' 2022 recruiting class.
Bellevue concluded its 2021 season with a 16-3-2 overall record, matching the 2005 and 2020 squads for the second-highest win total in program history. The Bruins won their second-straight CAC Tournament Championship to qualify for the NAIA National Tournament for the third time in four seasons, hosting for the second time.
