Two more sign with BU Soccer
Jack Armstrong (Newcastle, England) and Bradley Ironside (Kings Lynn, England) have signed Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning in the fall.
BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University head men's soccer coach Mark Heath-Preston announced today the signings of Jack Armstrong (Newcastle, England) and Bradley Ironside (Kings Lynn, England) to Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning in the fall.
Armstrong attended Prudhoe Community High School and most recently played as a scholar for Sunderland AFC.
Ironside attended Springwood High School in his native Kings Lynn while playing for club Kings Lynn Town where he was coached by Joe Simpson and Alex Cross. With Kings Lynn Town, Ironside reached the first round proper of the FA Youth Cup and won the Junior Premier League Cup.
Armstrong and Ironside join previously announced signees Matias Daniel (Santiago, Chile), Fletcher Hedge (Beccles, England), Dan Smith (Hadleigh, England), and Aghiles Ould Lamara (Nancy, France) in the Bruins' 2022 recruiting class.
Bellevue concluded the 2021 season with a 16-3-2 overall record, matching the 2005 and 2020 squads for the second-highest win total in program history. The Bruins won their second-straight CAC Tournament Championship to qualify for the NAIA National Tournament for the third time in four seasons, hosting for the second time.
