4 Bruins named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes
ORANGE BEACH, Ala. -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that a total of 284 men's soccer players have been named 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Men's Soccer Scholar-Athletes. Four Bruins were named to the exclusive team, including seniors Sebastian Narvaez, Tom Dodds, and Leon Kita, and junior Brady Batchelor.
Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.
The Bruins finished the 2010 season with a 13-6-1 overall record, while capturing the MCAC regular season title with a 4-0 league mark.
