Travis, Ivanovic earn weekly conference honors
POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- Seniors \#Mo Travis\# and \#Milan Ivanovic\# helped the Bruins sweep the MCAC men's soccer weekly honors following impressive performances for the week ending Nov. 1. Travis was named the MCAC Offensive Player of the Week, while Ivanovic garnered Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Travis (Papillion, Neb.) scored two goals and picked up an assist in Bellevue's 5-0 win over Central Christian College last Saturday at Tranquility Park.
A native of Belgrade, Serbia, Ivanovic anchored the stingy Bruin defense, which allowed just two shots on goal during the entire match against the Tigers. It marked the team's seventh shutout of the season.
Bellevue is 11-3-1 overall (3-0 MCAC) and will be idle until hosting the MCAC-FAC-DAC Independent Tournament on Friday-Saturday, Nov. 13-14 at Tranquility Park.
