Jerry Mosser to be honored with court dedication on Dec. 7
BU will honor former athletic director and coach Jerry Mosser on Dec. 7 as the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center's court is formally named "Coach Jerry Mosser Court."
BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University will honor long-time athletic director and men's basketball coach Jerry Mosser on Saturday, Dec. 7 as the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center's court is formally named "Coach Jerry Mosser Court."
Athletic director Ed Lehotak will lead a dedication ceremony at halftime of the Bruins' men's basketball game against Manhattan Christian College that begins at 3:00 p.m.
Mosser, the school's first Hall of Fame inductee, worked in the BU athletic department for 35 years. He served as the school's athletic director from 1972-2008 and as the men's basketball coach from 1972-92.
Mosser oversaw the construction of the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center and collected more than 200 wins as the head men's basketball coach.
He also started the women's sports programs at BU and was instrumental in the formation of the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference.
