Bio
Jessica Wachtler Smith is the only three-time Women's Soccer All-American in program history (2005, 2006, 2007). The 2007-08 Bellevue University Female Athlete of the Year was a three-time first-team all-MCAC selection and a three-time MCAC Scholar-Athlete. As a defender, she helped the team to a 52-25-6 record, a 2006 MCAC Tournament title, and the 2007 MCAC Regular Season championship.
The team qualified for the NAIA Regional Tournament three times during her tenure. Wachtler Smith played in 82 career games, recording 16 goals, 12 assists, and 44 points.
Wachtler Smith earned her bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology from Bellevue University. Following graduation, she worked in mental and behavioral health for seven years before transitioning to a career in healthcare recruiting and account management. She has worked as a healthcare recruiter and account manager for the past 11 years.
She currently resides in Omaha, Neb., with her husband, Andrew. In her free time, she enjoys playing golf, traveling with her family, and spending time with their dog.
