Rodgers earns third Frontier Golfer of the Week honor
HELENA, Mont. - Bellevue University's Dylan Rodgers has been named the Frontier Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for the third time this season, the league office announced today.
Rodgers paced the Bruins at the Midwest National Spring Invitational, climbing the leaderboard to secure a tie for eighth place in a field of 10 teams and 58 individual golfers. He finished the two-day tournament at 5-over par.
After carding rounds of 77 and 71 on the opening day, Rodgers closed the event with a 1-over-par 73 in the final round. His steady finish featured 13 pars, and he capped off the tournament strong by sinking birdie putts on the 344-yard, par-4 13th hole and the 423-yard, par-4 18th hole.
For the season, Rodgers currently leads the Bruins with an average of 74.5 strokes per round.
Up Next: The Bruins will travel to Phoenix, Ariz., on Monday and Tuesday, April 27-28, to compete in the Frontier Conference Championship at the Papago Golf Course.
