BELLEVUE, Neb. — Bellevue University junior catcher Marguerite Brown has been named a second-team NAIA All-American following a record-setting 2026 season.
Brown, a native of Chatham, Ontario, became the Bruins' latest NAIA All-American after starting all 54 games at catcher in her first season at Bellevue. She batted .460 with a .510 on-base percentage and a .781 slugging percentage, totaling 86 hits, 43 runs, 29 doubles, two triples, nine home runs, 40 RBIs, 18 walks, and 146 total bases.
Brown led BU in batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, hits, doubles, runs scored, and total bases. She also ranked second on the team in home runs and RBIs.
Her .460 batting average and 29 doubles both set Bellevue single-season records. Brown also finished fourth in program history in single-season hits, fifth in on-base percentage, sixth in total bases, and 10th in slugging percentage.
Brown produced 28 multi-hit games, 12 multi-RBI games, and homered in nine games. She went 4-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs, and a home run at Dakota State on March 30, and matched her season high with four hits against Dickinson State on April 24. She drove in a season-high three runs against Valley City State on March 21, Concordia (Neb.) on March 25, and Bismarck State on May 1.
The All-America honor adds to a postseason list that included Frontier Conference Newcomer of the Year, first-team all-Frontier Conference, and Frontier Conference Tournament All-Tournament Team recognition. Brown was also named Frontier Conference Player of the Week on March 16, CSC Academic All-District, and academic all-Frontier Conference.
Bellevue finished the 2026 season with a 25-29 overall record and a 10-16 mark in the Frontier Conference. The Bruins advanced to the championship game of the Frontier Conference Tournament before falling to league champion Dickinson State, 5-4.
