Neumann named MCAC Player of the Week

POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- For the sixth time in her Bruin career, senior Amanda Neumann has been named the MCAC Player of the Week for her efforts in the Bruins' four victories last week.
Neumann batted .357 on the week with two doubles, two runs scored, and six RBIs. She led BU to a doubleheader sweep over Northwestern (Iowa) College and to victories over Mayville State and Dickinson State.
In Bellevue's 7-0 win over Northwestern, Neumann went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs. She went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs in BU's 9-3 victory over Dickinson State.
Neumann also earned two victories in the circle, highlighted by a one-hit complete-game shutout in the 7-0 win over Northwestern. She recorded 13 strikeouts on the week.
Neumann currently leads the Bruins with 24 RBIs and 18 doubles and is second with a .370 batting average.
The Bruins (16-6) are currently riding an eight-game winning streak and will host Midland University on Tuesday (April 2) in a 4:30 p.m. doubleheader at Hall of Fame Fields.
