Men's basketball picked to repeat as MCAC champions
POINT LOOKOUT, MO. - Bellevue University has been picked as the favorite to win the 2012-13 MCAC men'sb championship according to the MCAC Preseason Coaches' Poll released today.
POINT LOOKOUT, MO. - Bellevue University has been picked as the favorite to win the 2012-13 MCAC Men's Basketball championship according to the MCAC Preseason Coaches' Poll released today.
The Bruins, who won the 2011-12 MCAC regular season and tournament titles, advanced to the second round of the NAIA Division II National Tournament a year ago after posting a 28-6 overall record and a 13-1 mark in conference play.
Bellevue finished the 2011-12 season with a No. 7 final national ranking after advancing to the NAIA National Tournament for the 10th-straight season.
York College was picked second by the conference coaches after going 16-16 last season (8-6 MCAC), while Central Christian College earned the No. 3 position in the poll (19-13 overall, 8-6 MCAC in 2011-12).
Rounding out the rankings are Oklahoma Wesleyan University (4th), College of the Ozarks (5th), Southwestern Christian University (6th), Haskell Indian Nations University (t-7th), Waldorf College (t-7th) and Central Baptist College (9th).
