Wardian named MCAC Hitter of the Week

POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- Junior middle blocker Maureen Wardian has been named the MCAC Volleyball Hitter of the Week for the week ending Oct. 10.
Wardian averaged 3.50 kills and 2.00 total blocks per game last week over two Bruin matches. In a 3-0 sweep over the College of St. Mary, she had 10 kills, three digs, and eight block assists. Against NCAA II Nebraska-Kearney, Wardian blasted 11 kills on .625 hitting, while adding four blocks. For the week, she hit at a .421 clip.
Bellevue is 20-7 overall and 8-1 in the MCAC. The Bruins will head to Peru, Neb. on Tuesday (Oct. 11) for a 7 p.m. conference match at Peru State College.
