Andersson named NSAA Women's Golfer of the Week
Freshman Tilde-Li Andersson has been named the North Star Athletic Association's Women's Golfer of the Week after her performance at last week's seven-team Nebraska Intercollegiate played at the 5,927-yard, par-72 Lochland Country Club in Hastings, Neb.
BISMARCK, N.D. -- Freshman Tilde-Li Andersson has been named the North Star Athletic Association's Women's Golfer of the Week after her performance at last week's seven-team Nebraska Intercollegiate played at the 5,927-yard, par-72 Lochland Country Club in Hastings, Neb.
Andersson tied a tournament record, finishing at 6-over par with rounds of 4-over 76 and 2-over 74. It marked the first individual title for Andersson, who guided the Bruins to the team title in the event.
Andersson was extremely consistent throughout the tournament. She had one birdie and 12 pars in the opening round. Her second round consisted of one birdie, three bogeys, and 14 pars.
After a tournament record of 307 (+19) on Friday, the Bruins followed up with a 310 (+22) to set the tournament's scoring record with a 617 (+41) total.
The Bruins return to action on Oct. 14-15 when they travel to Silvis, Ill., to compete in the TPC Deere Run Invitational.
