OMAHA, Neb. -- Second-seeded University of Great Falls upset top-seeded Bellevue University, 2-1, Saturday evening in the championship game of the Unaffiliated Group Tournament at Tranquility Park. With the win, the Argos (15-3-1) received an automatic berth into the NAIA National Tournament.
Bellevue ends its season at 13-6-1.
The Bruins struck first on a penalty kick by James Evison at 23:17 following a yellow card by UGF's goalkeeper Zach Johnson.
The Argos quickly responded a minute later with a goal by Ryan O'Neill following a pass into the middle of the box by Christian Johansen.
