BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Jamil Goodwin recorded his team-leading seventh double-double of the season with 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Bellevue University men's basketball team to a 67-49 victory over Central Christian College in MCAC action Saturday night at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. 

Bellevue won its seventh-straight game, improving to 14-7 on the season and 5-2 in the MCAC. The Tigers fell to 13-5 overall and 2-3 in league play. 

Goodwin's double-double was his fifth in the last seven games.

Dominique Grant finished with 15 points, six rebounds, five assists, and four steals. Thaddeus Perry was the third Bruin in double figures, registering 14 points, along with six rebounds and a pair of assists. 

Kaleon Gary led the Tigers with 16 points and seven rebounds and Chris Jones notched a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. 

Perry led the Bruins in the opening half with 11 points, finishing 5-for-5 from the field, as BU grabbed a 31-24 halftime advantage. Goodwin collected seven points and eight rebounds in the first period. 

The Tigers, who shot just 29 percent in the first half, were paced by Gary's 11 points and five rebounds. 

Bellevue used a 15-2 run early in the second half to grab a 47-29 lead at the 12-minute mark. Six-straight points from Grant gave BU a 53-34 lead with 9:11 remaining in the game. 

The Tigers cut the deficit to 14 points (53-39) after a 5-0 run capped by a 3-pointer from Kris Quant at 8:17. A 3-pointer by Scott Brooks drew CCC to within 13 points at 61-48 at the three-minute mark. 

Bellevue closed the game on a 6-1 run to post the 67-49 victory. 

The Bruins will travel to league-leader York College on Tuesday, Jan. 22, for a 7:30 p.m. MCAC contest.
