McFarland nabs MCAC Pitcher of the Week honors

POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- For the second time in three weeks, senior right-hander Kody McFarland has been named the MCAC Pitcher of the Week.

POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- For the second time in three weeks, right-hander Kody McFarland has been named the MCAC Pitcher of the Week.

McFarland tossed a complete-game one-hit shutout in the Bruins' 4-0 win over Central Christian on April 13. The senior from Sugar City, Idaho, fanned 12 batters with no walks in the win.

McFarland is 5-1 on the season with a team-high 67 strikeouts and a team second-best 2.33 ERA. 

The honor marked the second time this season and the fifth time in his career McFarland has earned MCAC Pitcher of the Week honors. 

The Bruins (35-6-1/14-2 MCAC) will host Oklahoma Wesleyan University on Friday-Saturday (April 19-20) in a four-game conference series. The doubleheaders will begin each day at 1 p.m. at Westgate Field.
