Junior right-handed pitcher Robert Greco has been named the top prospect by Baseball America in the MINK Summer Baseball League.
The MINK Collegiate Summer Baseball League is made up of some of the top collegiate players from across the country and features features teams from Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas.
Greco turned in the most dominating single-game performance in the MINK League this season, a 14-strikeout no-hitter that took just 91 pitches to complete. He finished the season with a 2.77 ERA and 54 strikeouts in 52 innings. He throws from an over-the-top delivery, and his fastball sits in the 89-91 mph range.
Teams in the MINK Collegiate Baseball League include: Chillicothe (Mo.) Mudcats, Sedalia (Mo.) Bombers, Nevada (Mo.) Griffons, St. Joseph (Mo.) Mustangs, Ozark (Mo.) Generals, Joplin (Mo.) Outlaws, Clarinda (Iowa) A's, and the Omaha Diamond Spirit.
Greco earned first team all-MCAC honors for the Bruins during the 2012 season, leading BU with a 7-1 record, a 2.01 ERA and five saves, along with 58 strikeouts in 44.2 innings pitched.
