Bellevue University head softball coach Michala Cimino announced today that the Bruin softball team will be moving their home games to Hall of Fame Fields in Bellevue. The site will also serve as BU's practice facility. The venue is located at 14602 Harlan Lewis Road.
"Playing at Hall of Fame Fields will be such a huge bonus for our program," said Cimino. "The staff and facilities are wonderful at the complex. We will have all of the amenities of any major softball program. It is close to campus and will provide us with all the tools to take BU softball to the next level."
The Hall of Fame Fields, which was completed in 2009, is a multi-million dollar facility that was designed to provide the ultimate softball experience to players, coaches, and fans. It is situated on a beautiful 40-acre site in the southeast section of Bellevue.
The Hall of Fame Fields are meticulously groomed and were created specifically for fastpitch softball. The fields include:
- Covered spectator seating
- Mist cooled dugouts
- Individual team bullpens
- Bricked batters boxes and pitchers circles
- Diamond-Pro infield mix
- Wi-Fi access
- The ability to video webcast Bruin games
Bellevue will begin practicing at the new facility this September during the fall off-season.
